Lifehouse Church

It has been a busy summer for the National Door and Trim Commercial Division, with many projects under way and one finishing up right now that hits very close to home – literally!

LifeHouse Church here in Van Wert will soon have a new home thanks to Weigand Construction with the help of ND&T Commercial. Many local subcontractors played a hand in helping transform the old Pick ‘N Save location on Fox Rd. to the new-and-improved LifeHouse.

National Door and Trim worked closely with Pastor Matt Braun and Weigand to give the church a contemporary design while adhering to the stringent commercial guidelines set forth by the state of Ohio.

The design team chose to go with Masonite flush oak doors stained with a custom color mixed up by our stain department. Many of the doors feature glass inserts which were cut and installed in the National Door and Trim shop.

The church is outfitted with Pioneer hollow metal frames and exterior doors, and various other suppliers were picked based on style and application. Hager, Falcon (Allegion) and Stanley - among others - appear throughout the church to ensure security and functionality for the congregation.

Churches offer different challenges than other commercial buildings, and LifeHouse was no different. ND&T Commercial had to special order borrowed lites for the classrooms and sanctuary. These came from another local supplier Van Wert Glass.

Overall the project, which is receiving finishing touches right now, will be a beautiful home to the LifeHouse congregation and a pillar in the community for years to come.
