Cory focuses on managing the growth of each product line National Door and Trim currently offers, and also is responsible for the development of new products and new markets.  He interacts with each aspect of the business, from vendor to customer, as he works on identifying growth opportunities for the company.

How did you end up involved in this industry?
Followed a very unusual path. I didn’t grow up in the industry or attend college/trade school in a related field. My past experience has largely been in the finance function at various companies. Prior to joining National Door and Trim, I worked at the nation's leader in the Lawn & Garden industry performing operational reviews of manufacturing sites, data analytics, and financial assessments to promote process improvement and efficiency. I also worked at a Fortune 20 company in the pharmaceutical industry, mainly providing financial support to sales teams and helping assist with customer deal proposals. An opportunity came up at NDT where I had the chance to learn a new industry and also use my past experiences to help the business grow. I was excited for the challenge. It was icing on the cake that NDT also just happened to be located within 20 minutes of my hometown.

What is the most enjoyable part of your job?
Interactions with people. Every employee, supplier, and customer has a different story that makes them unique to work with. No day is ever the same and finding solutions to problems are things I enjoy working with others on.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
Treat every person with respect no matter how they treat you. You never know what someone else is going through in their life but you could be that one bright spot that makes their day a little bit better. My parents also instilled in me at a young age the importance of a strong work ethic and doing what is right.

What is your favorite outdoor activity?
Relaxing on a beach or playing a competitive sport.

What is one thing on your bucket list?
I checked off skydiving a few summers ago. It is a goal in my lifetime to visit all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums.
